Land Leasing with Rummans Energy

Keep your land. Create long-term income. Help shape the future of rural energy infrastructure.

Rummans Energy partners with Illinois landowners to evaluate land for potential community solar and rural energy projects. If a site is viable, a solar lease can provide long-term, predictable income while allowing the landowner to retain ownership of the property.

We are local, transparent, and selective. Not every property will work for solar. A site must be close enough to electric infrastructure, suitable for construction, compatible with local zoning, and financially viable before a project can move forward.

Long-term lease payments may provide a stable income stream that is not tied directly to crop prices, weather, or annual farm yields.

We evaluate carefully. We communicate clearly. We only move forward when the project makes sense.

Our Transparent 6-Step Process

We believe in transparency and integrity at every stage of development.
Here is how we work with you from the first conversation to the final connection.
01. Initial Conversation
We start with a simple conversation about your property, your goals, and whether you are open to exploring a potential lease.
02. Preliminary Site Review
We review electric infrastructure, parcel layout, access, topography, zoning, and other early feasibility factors.
03. Letter of Intent
If there appears to be potential, we may use a short Letter of Intent to outline the basic business terms before either side commits to a formal lease option.
04. Technical Due Diligence
Rummans Energy coordinates technical review, including interconnection analysis, engineering input, environmental considerations, site layout, and utility requirements.
05. Option and Lease Agreement
If both sides agree to proceed, the parties may enter into an option and lease agreement. The landowner keeps ownership of the land, and the project area is leased only if the project moves forward.
06. Permitting, Financing, and Construction
If the project clears utility, zoning, engineering, and financing requirements, Rummans Energy coordinates the remaining development process with qualified professional partners.
